On Saturday, July 21st, from 11:00 to 19:00 in the Cesis Castle Garden the event “The Historic Hanseatic Market” will take place for the second time. Both adults and children will have the opportunity to go back in the period when Cesis was a member of the Hanseatic League and to participate in activities of medieval people.

This year’s Cēsis Art Festival is running from 22 July through 26 August 2018. The key event of the programme will be the 36-hour live sound installation Unexpected Sourcesby the TĪRKULTŪRA show of Klasika Latvian Radio 3 station featuring performances by the intellectual American retrofuturist John Maus, the unpigeonholeable redefiners Visible Cloaks, an Internet dream by the synth pop sound artist Motion

On the 19th of May an International Day of The Hansa will be celebrated all around the Europe and also in Cesis. Everyone is invited to take a fascinating excursion through the Old Town to find out more about life in the city during the time when Cēsis was a member of the Hanseatic League.

At the start of an active tourism season, the Cēsis Tourism Information Center will be moving to new premises. Starting from May 2018 center will be located in new address at the Baznīcas laukums 1 next to Cēsis Sv. John’s Church. Previously, the Tourism Information Center was located in the Cēsis New Castle on address Pils laukums 9.

During the week from 26th of March till 2nd of April the very first Cēsis Restaurant Week will take place, which will be named “The wake up of the tastes”/“Awake your taste”. Local inhabitants and city guests will be welcome to enjoy sophisticated and delicious food at very friendly prices.

As soon as the temperature decreases, the winter has come. How to enjoy weather like this and share the joy with beloved ones?

In March 7–11, 2018, the project will participate in one of the largest tourism trade fairs – ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) in Germany to introduce the international audience to our cities and our products.
