Driving along the road Cēsis – Liepa – Mārsnēni , 6 km behind Liepas, on the right side of the road you will see the complex of the Skangaļi manor buildings with red tile roofs, paved walkways and the lanterns lit up in the evenings. The buildings are surrounded by centenary elms, maples, larches, thuyas and an oak.

The owners of the Skangaļi manor are a religious organization the Salvation Army. The manor belonging to a religious organization is shown by the roadside wooden sculpture – cross which is 8.5 meters high and the Salvation Army flag fluttering in front of the central building of the manor next to the national flags of Latvia and Sweden.

Its owners offer to organize seminars, camps, as well as to relax in this ancient country manor, toned down from the daily rush country. This is a wonderful place for those who need peace and quiet.
