Ainavu (Landscape) Scarp

This is one of the highest outcrops in Latvia. A truly beautiful view unfolds from the top of this scarp, encompassing the view of the deep old valley of the Amata river. The Ainavu Scarp reveals the huge bank of the river which is more than 500 m long and is comprised of two 46m high outcrops – Bizenes rock and Ainavu rock - with a beautiful view on the Amata valley. For a more convenient visit there is an established walking trail, with resting and picnic places.

Ainavu Scarp is a protected natural geological monument and is situated in Gauja National Park.
