In accordance with the requirements set by the government to limit the spread of Covid-19, the Cēsis Tourism Information Center is temporarily closed for face-to-face consultations. Consultations are available remotely: by calling and writing on social networks or on a telephone number.

The seventh LAMPA Conversation Festival with the head theme of respect invites you to attend any of more than 200 events over two days, August 20 and 21, on various important topics: both practical and philosophical, global and local, by joining us in Cēsis or online.

Cēsis Tourism Information Center will be closed during Midsummer holidays from June 23 to June 24, while from June 25 to June 27 information centre will work as usual from 10:00 to 18:00.

In order to more purposefully limit Covid-19 and fight against the threat posed by the virus to the health and life of the Latvian population, several security measures have been introduced in the territory of the country. The emergency situation in Latvia has been determined until 11 January 2020.    

Starting from Saturday, December 5, the working hours of Cēsis Tourism Information Center will be changed. From now on, it will be open every working day from 10:00 to 17:00, while the tourist information center will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Am Ende der aktiven Tourismussaison ändern sich die Arbeitszeiten des Tourismusinformationszentrums von Cēsis. Das Informationszentrum ist ab 1. Oktober von Montag bis Samstag von 10:00 bis 18:00 Uhr geöffnet.

Genießen Sie den Charme und den historischen Atem von Cēsis, indem Sie durch die engen und verwinkelten Gassen und Stadtparks der Altstadt schpazieren. Sie werden die Aura der Vergangenheit der Stadt spüren, wenn Sie die Route „Auf den Spuren des Hanse-Kaufmanns“ gehen.

Im Jahr 2020 wird der Schwerpunkt des Cēsis Kunstfestivals 2020 auf dem Klang liegen, um die Hör- und Hörfähigkeiten während des COVID-19 nach der Krise zu trainieren, wenn die taktilen Empfindungen begrenzt sind.

In diesem Sommer öffnet der südliche Turm der Burg Cēsis erstmals seine Türen für Besucher. Die vierstöckige Multimedia-Ausstellung “Leben auf einem Pulverfass” erzählt eine 500-jährige Vergangenheit, als die Menschen in Livland in Erwartung unvermeidlicher Veränderungen lebten.

Nach den Renovierungsarbeiten ist ab 1. August der Aussichtsturm der Cesis St. Johanneskirche wieder zugänglich. Jetzt öffnet sich das Panorama der Stadt aus einem anderen Blickwinkel. Der Eintritt zum Aussichtsturm beträgt 3.00 Euro.
